The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing operations, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with digital systems and remote teams.

This unique opportunity allows you to contribute to critical manufacturing processes without being physically present on the shop floor, supporting operations primarily in the Northern Cape region and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze production data to identify deviations from quality standards or operational inefficiencies.
  • Communicate effectively with on-site production teams to report issues and suggest immediate corrective actions.
  • Document production activities, quality checks, and troubleshooting steps meticulously.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) based on remote observations and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to resolve production-related issues.
  • Participate in remote team meetings and provide input on process improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and quality standards through remote oversight and communication.
  • Operate specialized software for data entry, reporting, and system monitoring.
  • Assist with remote setup and calibration verification of certain production equipment using digital interfaces.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a technical certificate or diploma in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably with exposure to precision components.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and basic mechanical/electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools, including MS Office Suite, and experience with manufacturing data systems (MES, ERP, SCADA) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for remote troubleshooting.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, crucial for remote interaction.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain focus in a remote setting.
  • Comfortable working with technology and adapting to new digital tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow procedures and maintain high standards.

Benefits

This fully remote position offers unparalleled flexibility and work-life balance.

Our client provides a competitive salary, opportunities for skill development in advanced manufacturing technologies, and a supportive remote work environment.
