Our client is seeking a proactive and results-oriented PR & Media Executive to join their dynamic team in Kimberley, Northern Cape . This role is responsible for developing and implementing effective public relations strategies, managing media relations, and enhancing the company's public image. The Executive will play a key role in crafting compelling narratives, securing media coverage, and fostering strong relationships with journalists and influencers. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive PR and media strategies aligned with company goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and national media contacts.
- Write and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other communication materials.
- Secure positive media coverage across various platforms, including print, online, and broadcast.
- Monitor media coverage and industry trends, providing analysis and recommendations.
- Manage social media content and engagement strategies.
- Assist in planning and executing PR events and press conferences.
- Support crisis communication efforts as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cohesive messaging.
- Track and report on PR campaign performance and media impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in PR or media relations.
- Demonstrated success in securing media placements and managing media campaigns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong storytelling abilities.
- Proven ability to build and nurture media relationships.
- Strong understanding of digital PR and social media marketing.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
- Familiarity with the media environment in the Northern Cape is highly desirable.
