Advanced relay testing leads this field-based Senior Protection and Control Testing Technician role with Phasor, serving Canadian project sites on a 14/7 rotation. As part of Quanta Services, you will test and commission protection and control systems, relays, SCADA, and medium- and high-voltage infrastructure. The experienced role spans construction through energization across utility, power generation, industrial, and infrastructure projects. You will apply technical documentation, troubleshooting, and commissioning expertise while maintaining safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
Test and commission medium- and high-voltage protection and control schemes Perform secondary relay injection testing with Omicron CMC356 and CMC500 Conduct SCADA point testing and system verification Troubleshoot technical issues during commissioning and startup Prepare detailed commissioning reports for submission Requirements:
Four-plus years of protection and control relay testing experience Electrical engineering degree, electrician ticket, or technologist diploma Hands-on experience with advanced relay test sets Ability to travel and work extended 14/7 rotations Valid Canadian work authorization and clean driver's abstract Apply protection and control testing, relay injection, and SCADA verification expertise across Phasor projects in Canada.
