Lead environmental reclamation and restoration projects from PETRONAS Canada’s Calgary office, using regulatory knowledge and field execution expertise across Northeast British Columbia. Reporting to the Manager of Environment, this Environmental Advisor supports reclamation compliance for new developments and back-end project portfolios. The work includes stakeholder coordination, technical reporting, approvals, procurement, contractor management, and field support. Travel throughout Northeast BC is required as needed. Key Responsibilities:
Lead reclamation and restoration project scopes, schedules, budgets, and approvals Oversee Field Environmental Supervisors and periodic Northeast BC assignments Coordinate procurement, bidding, contractor awards, and spend tracking Maintain DARR records in FieldShare, SAP, and other systems Advance environmental performance and represent Environment in stakeholder meetings Requirements:
Environmental education or equivalent experience with a professional designation Seven or more years of relevant oil and gas experience Recent British Columbia assessment and remediation experience Knowledge of BCER regulations, guidance, and restoration manuals Valid Class 5 licence and proficiency with Microsoft and AI tools Apply environmental project leadership, BC regulatory expertise, and field coordination skills to PETRONAS Canada’s reclamation programs.
