As Category Manager, Hardlines, you will manage private label and national brand assortments across hardlines and seasonal categories. You will guide category planning, supplier partnerships, and financial performance. The work connects consumer insights, market trends, and store needs with compelling retail and digital assortments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute hardlines and seasonal category strategies
- Lead annual line reviews and seasonal merchandising programs
- Manage category sales, margin, inventory, and vendor funding
- Negotiate supplier costs, agreements, rebates, and promotional funding
- Partner with Supply Chain on forecasting and replenishment
Requirements:
- University degree in business, commerce, marketing, or related field
- Seven or more years in category management or retail buying
- Experience managing hardlines, seasonal, or related product categories
- Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and retail merchandising systems
