This Assistant Store Manager position supports Pet Valu, part of a North American family of pet retailers. You will develop store employees, help customers select nutrition and supplies, and coordinate daily operations. The work includes inventory, scheduling, training, audits, and community relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach employees on sales techniques and customer service
- Recruit, schedule, train, supervise, and assign team tasks
- Coordinate inventory, orders, audits, repairs, and paperwork
- Maintain corporate operational standards and procedures
- Coordinate staff efforts to achieve targeted results
Requirements:
- Minimum two years customer service and retail management experience
- Strong customer service skills and outgoing, friendly personality
- Working knowledge of point-of-sale systems
- Weekend and evening availability with reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively
