You will assess patients, monitor vital signs, and support triage while delivering technical care. The work includes diagnostics, anesthesia, procedures, pharmacy, and in-hospital treatments for emergency patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform physical assessments and monitor patient vital signs
- Support emergency triage and changing clinical priorities
- Monitor anesthesia induction, maintenance, and recovery
- Place catheters, collect samples, and run laboratory tests
- Prepare surgical suites and assist emergency procedures
Requirements:
- Complete a Veterinary Technician or Animal Health Technician program
- Maintain eligibility for provincial registration
- Demonstrate anesthesia, pharmacology, and clinical procedure knowledge
- Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and laboratory procedures confidently
- Provide compassionate care with excellent communication skills
