We are seeking an experienced Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) Lead to support aerospace manufacturing operations by identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues affecting delivery performance, manufacturing processes, and quality systems.
The successful candidate will lead structured root cause investigations, facilitate cross-functional working sessions, coordinate corrective action plans, and ensure measurable improvements in operational performance.
This role requires strong analytical skills, aerospace manufacturing or quality engineering experience, and the ability to collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structured root cause analysis of delivery performance issues using available operational data and cross-functional working sessions.
- Investigate manufacturing process failures, quality system issues, and recurring non-conformances to identify systemic causes of delivery delays.
- Apply root cause analysis methodologies, including Fishbone diagrams, 5-Why, Pareto analysis, and hypothesis testing.
- Develop and maintain a priority framework aligned with SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) and operational planning cycles.
- Facilitate operational review meetings and cross-functional working sessions to drive corrective action execution and monitor progress.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to validate root causes and assess corrective action feasibility.
- Maintain the root cause register, ensuring each identified issue has a designated owner, committed action plan, target timeline, and measurable outcome.
- Analyze SAP MRP outputs, including ZC13 and ZP24, to support operational investigations and identify delivery constraints.
- Distinguish underlying constraints from symptoms in complex, multi-plant manufacturing environments.
- Support escalation of unresolved blockers requiring senior-level customer or stakeholder intervention.
- Track corrective action effectiveness and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing quality and delivery performance.
- Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing operations, quality engineering, or a closely related manufacturing environment.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional activities involving manufacturing, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing process failures, quality system issues, and non-conformance management.
- Hands-on experience with structured root cause analysis methodologies, including Fishbone, 5-Why, Pareto analysis, and hypothesis testing.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating root cause analysis sessions with engineering and operations stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of SAP Material Requirements Planning (MRP), with the ability to independently interpret ZC13 and ZP24 outputs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify systemic causes and distinguish constraints from symptoms.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and action-tracking skills.
- Fluency in both French and English.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and available to work on-site in Montreal, Quebec.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing quality, delivery performance improvement, and corrective action implementation.
- Experience working in multi-plant manufacturing operations and complex supply chain environments.
- Demonstrated success driving measurable improvements in manufacturing performance and quality outcomes.
