Peninsula Canada seeks a Legal Collections Clerk to resolve accounts, prepare court documents, and deliver careful client service. The role is based downtown in Toronto.
Working in the Customer Solutions department, this position combines collections with legal administrative responsibilities. You will manage correspondence, contracts, cash reconciliation processes, and small court claims while maintaining accurate system records. The ideal candidate brings collections experience, Small Claims Court experience, proactive communication, and the ability to handle pressure independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle calls, emails, letters, and account correspondence
- Maintain accurate and timely notes in company systems
- Keep aging in good standing under company policy
- Prepare collections letters for all aging debt groups
- Liaise with clients, service, and legal departments
Requirements:
- College or university diploma
- Minimum one year of collections experience
- Minimum one year of Small Claims Court experience
- Strong communication and service delivery skills
- Proactive, solution-oriented approach under pressure
