Become a vital part of the T.D. Michel Public School team as a Caretaker 1. This full-time role focuses on custodial services, building operations, and other facility maintenance duties, with a start date of October 19, 2026.
In this temporary position, you'll be working full-time for approximately 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. Ideal candidates should have at least one year of experience in custodial services or building maintenance, as well as a valid driver's license. You'll play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the school environment through established cleaning practices and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas and facilities
- Operate cleaning equipment effectively
- Follow safety procedures and handle cleaning chemicals
- Support the training of new caretaking staff
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning and maintenance tasks
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent education
- One year of experience in custodial services
- WHMIS and First Aid/CPR certifications
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
