Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) NHS Foundation Trust is working with the Big Data Institute within the University of Oxford to develop a secure platform for large-scale research and development. This platform will link detailed information from partner NHS organisations, from national datasets, and from research projects and make it available for analysis by trusted users within a secure cloud environment. There is a particular emphasis on high-value clinical and translational research, including the development and evaluation of AI innovations in healthcare delivery.
The Data and Systems Analyst will contribute to the development and operation of this platform, the Thames Valley and Surrey (TVS) Secure Data Environment (SDE), as a key component of the future UK health research ecosystem. They will build and communicate a deep understanding of data design, data semantics, and data usage in healthcare and health research. They will work as part of a team of engineers, scientists, managers, and governance specialists, using state-of-the-art tools and technologies. Their work will lead to advances in our understanding of disease and to improvements in healthcare services.

Our values, standards, and behaviours define the quality of clinical care we offer and the professional relationships we make with our patients, colleagues, and the wider community. We call this Delivering Compassionate Excellence and its focus is on our values of compassion, respect, learning, delivery, improvement, and excellence. These values put patients at the heart of what we do and underpin the quality healthcare we would like for ourselves or a member of our family.
