Have you got an interest in neurological or neuromuscular conditions (including spasticity) and caring for patients requiring rehabilitation following acquired brain injury? Oxford Centre for Enablement, a purpose-built rehabilitation centre on the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre (NOC) site in Oxford, houses a number of multidisciplinary inpatient and outpatient services aimed at supporting people recovering from, and living with, disabling conditions. OCE's inpatient service provides Level 1 and Level 2 inpatient neurological rehabilitation for patients needing highly specialist rehabilitation from Oxfordshire and surrounding counties. It is part of the Thames Valley Trauma Network rehabilitation network.
Main focus is neurological rehabilitation; however, referrals of other non-neurological patients who require complex multidisciplinary input, such as after multiple amputation and/or polytrauma are also considered.
This role is mainly based at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre (NOC) which sits under the Acute Medicine and Rehabilitation directorate. You may also be on the John Radcliffe site for duties within Acute Medicine. We are continually trying to improve the service we provide, learning from each other to optimise what we do and adapting to changing service needs.

- Work with the medicine management technician to facilitate supported and self-administration of medicines by patients at the OCE as part of their rehabilitation.
- Work with the AMR directorate lead and other band 7s in the team to ensure efficient and safe working practices with rotational pharmacists, medicines management technicians and ward-based assistants.
- Work collaboratively with the OCE clinical unit team to support strategic developments of the service e.g. improved discharge processes, safe prescribing pathways, MDT training.
- Be an active member of the pharmacy department and of AMR Directorate team and ensure continuous two-way exchange of information to maintain high standards of medicines use within the Trust.
