Mitchell Prosthetic and Orthotic Services seeks a skilled, motivated Orthotic Technician for a full-time position. Work closely with Certified Orthotists and Prosthetists on fabrication, modification, fitting, repair, and maintenance. Apply mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and knowledge of fabrication materials while following clinical specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate custom orthotic devices according to clinical specifications
- Prepare casts, molds, models, and fabrication materials
- Perform grinding, finishing, trimming, bending, and laminating
- Adjust devices as directed by Certified Orthotists or Prosthetists
- Maintain fabrication tools, equipment, records, and documentation
Requirements:
- Previous Orthotic Technician experience is an asset
- O&P Technician certification or relevant technical training is an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, plastics, metals, or composites
- Ability to follow detailed technical and clinical instructions
