Position Summary: With the direction from the Plant Care Supervisor, the ideal candidate will be a motivated individual who displays strong attention to detail, a dedication to learning, and the ability to manage change in a fast-paced work environment. The Plant Care Technician will work closely with the Plant Care Supervisor intending to a devoted area of the operation.
This position requires physical demands such as reaching, bending, walking, standing, performing repetitive work and lifting to 50 lbs;
Key Responsibilities:
- Various crop care, including transplanting, potting,de-leafing, pruning, and pinching plants;
- Mixing and amending soil;
- Installs and adjusts trellis for optimal cannabis growth and according to standard;
- Carefully Monitors the health of the plants for proper care;
- Responsible for general housekeeping of the production area;
- Cleans and sanitizes equipment, pots, trays, etc. as per Health Canada standards;
- Organizes and maintains materials, and restocks supplies when needed;
- Prepares reports and general documentation as required;
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Brings focus to work quality and safety;
- Adaptability and strong with multitasking;
- Effortlessly takes direction and follows through on tasks;
- Capable of working both independently and on a team;
- Good communication skills both written and verbal;
- Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills;
- Fall arrest training would be considered an asset.
