This Monitoring and Observability Engineer will lead organization-wide capability development and continuous improvement. The work spans infrastructure, networks, applications, security, and service management. Key technologies include LogicMonitor, Icinga, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead migration from legacy tools to LogicMonitor
- Define monitoring, alerting, dashboard, and observability standards
- Improve coverage across infrastructure, applications, networks, and databases
- Design dashboards for engineers, Service Desk, management, and customers
- Reduce alert noise through thresholds, correlation, ownership, and escalation
Requirements:
- Significant enterprise monitoring and observability platform experience
- Strong LogicMonitor or equivalent enterprise monitoring experience
- Hands-on Icinga, Prometheus, and Grafana experience
- Knowledge of SNMP, REST APIs, syslog, and integrations
- Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting experience
