At OneSpan, we specialize in digital identity and anti-fraud solutions that create exceptional and secure experiences. As a senior frontend developer, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the web experiences that power OneSpan’s digital agreement and e-signature products. You will take technical ownership of complex frontend initiatives, influence UI architecture and engineering best practices, and help drive the evolution of a scalable, accessible, and extensible frontend ecosystem built with modern technologies such as React, TypeScript, and micro frontends.
This is a hands-on role where you will design, build, review, and ship high-quality, responsive web applications while also mentoring other developers and collaborating closely with UX designers, product owners, architects, security specialists, and cross-functional stakeholders. This is an opportunity to have a strong voice in technical direction and to influence the future of OneSpan’s user-facing offerings. This position is open to candidates residing in Montreal. This role is hybrid, with in-office presence 2 days per week at our Montreal office.

- Take technical ownership of end-to-end frontend delivery, including React, TypeScript, and the supporting build, test, and deployment toolchain.
- Design, build, and integrate micro frontends, contributing to dynamic architecture modeling and a modular, scalable frontend ecosystem.
- Take part in system and architecture design decisions within an Agile team, partnering closely with backend, UX, and product.
- Provide technical leadership by reviewing designs and code, identifying risks early, and guiding teams toward effective solutions.
- Champion software quality by defining and enforcing best practices for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Contribute to the design, evolution, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines built on AWS and GitLab, with a focus on automation and reliability.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve developer productivity, application performance, and user experience.
- Mentor and coach intermediate and junior developers, providing technical guidance, feedback, and knowledge sharing.

- Strong, hands-on expertise with React and its ecosystem, including hooks, component design, and state management.
- Proven experience with modular frontend architectures, including micro frontends, shared component libraries and design systems.
- Solid experience integrating with RESTful APIs, including data fetching, caching, error handling, and security best practices.
- Strong focus on frontend performance optimization, accessibility and secure coding practices.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code).
- Experience with software best practices such as test-driven development (TDD) and continuous integration, and with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks.

- Proficiency with Git and modern branching strategies and code review practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex frontend and production issues.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, design, product, and security teams.
- Ability to work independently while taking ownership of frontend applications in a fast-paced Agile environment.
