Lead food science innovation at One Degree Organic Foods through product specifications, laboratory experiments, and large-scale manufacturing support.
This 12-month contract reports to the Innovation Director and manages R&D processes for an assigned product category. The work covers new product development, food safety, quality improvement, and reproducibility in manufacturing. You will establish standards, analytical methodologies, SOPs, and technical documentation while collaborating across organizational areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research new products and innovations for implementation
- Execute experiments verifying product specifications
- Maintain formulation, result, and laboratory analysis records
- Identify product and process improvement opportunities
- Create accurate, verifiable Certificates of Analysis
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related discipline
- At least four years of food production facility R&D experience
- Working knowledge of food safety and R&D protocols
- Familiarity with food chemistry and manufacturing processes
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
