Apply advanced drilling engineering expertise at Suncor’s Calgary head office, solving complex technical problems and supporting SAGD projects. Regular site travel is required. As an experienced Specialist Drilling Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across operating and future SAGD areas. You will deliver recommendations, support project execution, and mentor engineers. The role may expand into developing completions engineering responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver complex drilling engineering projects independently Provide expert analysis and recommendations for drilling studies Solve complex problems using comparative technical analysis Coordinate project activities and review technical deliverables Mentor engineers and support team capability development Requirements:
Engineering or Applied Science degree, or equivalent experience At least twelve years of relevant experience Advanced engineering techniques and procedures competency Experience across multiple projects or deep technical expertise Ability to develop technology change management plans Bring drilling expertise, technical judgment, project leadership, and mentoring capability to Suncor’s complex SAGD operations from Calgary.
