This role involves managing trauma and acute care surgery cases in a Level 1 trauma center serving over 2.5 million residents. Participation in scheduled general surgery care is also a component of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clinical care in Trauma and Acute Care Surgery
- Participate in scheduled General Surgery Care
- Support students and learners in a teaching hospital
- Manage trauma cases effectively in a high-volume setting
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
- Fellowship training in Trauma Surgery preferred
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in Ontario
- Experience in general surgery required
