Lead international legal and Ethics & Compliance advice for Trouw Nutrition in a hybrid Canada or USA role. Apply sound judgment across North America. As Lead Counsel, you will advise assigned international business units within Nutreco, helping leaders interpret requirements, manage risk, and make informed decisions. The position combines contract, competition, and corporate law with strategic partnership, training, investigations, and business enablement. You will support practical solutions across functions and geographies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal and Ethics & Compliance guidance to business units
- Build trusted relationships with senior business leaders
- Manage external counsel and specialized legal support
- Improve policies, templates, playbooks, and governance systems
- Support training, investigations, risk assessments, and strategic projects
Requirements:
- Law degree and Canadian or USA license, or equivalent
- Seven-plus years of international legal experience
- Knowledge of contract, competition, and basic corporate law
- Experience drafting international agreements and using legal technology
- Fluent English; French and Ethics & Compliance experience assets
