Architect distributed systems for Nubank’s Money Boxes platform, combining high-concurrency design with transactional ledgering across international markets. This hybrid role requires office presence two days weekly. As Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will serve as chief technical authority for Money Boxes core technology. You will design extensible platforms supporting investment assets, yield generation, and regulatory ledgering. Your work spans event-driven architectures, distributed sagas, domain-driven design, and high-concurrency microservices. Key Responsibilities:
Define the multi-year Money Boxes backend architecture vision Architect double-entry accounting and real-time balance engines Design resilient deposit, withdrawal, and auto-investment flows Abstract regulatory, tax, and currency differences across countries Lead RFCs and architectural consensus across technical organizations Requirements:
Staff or Senior Staff distributed systems leadership experience Hands-on fintech, banking, or investments systems experience Fluency in event-driven architecture and transactional consistency Experience building platforms and APIs with explicit contracts Professional English fluency; Portuguese or Spanish is advantageous Shape Nubank’s Money Boxes platform through distributed systems, ledgering, investment infrastructure, and cross-organizational technical leadership.
