As a Legal Services Technician 1-2 with the Nova Scotia Public Prosecution Service, you will assist Crown Attorneys in a confidential office environment. Your work will involve legal assistance, case management, administrative support, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and specialized criminal law procedures. You will support prosecution files, court proceedings, and requests for information while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, track, and manage criminal and administrative files
- Prepare affidavits, subpoenas, orders, briefs, factums, and memoranda
- Maintain accuracy and completeness under court standards
- Respond to government, law firm, and public information requests
- Refer crime victims to Victim Services agencies
Requirements:
- Paralegal or Legal Assistant certificate or diploma
