Lead underground electrical work for NS Power in Sackville, directing installations, maintenance, repairs, and teams across Energy Delivery Operations.
As a Leading Electrician, you will report to the Underground Supervisor and work within the Regional Operations Team. You will direct electricians and Powerline Technicians while performing electrical underground plant work on transmission and distribution systems. The position includes documentation, safety compliance, training participation, and emergency restoration responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct underground electrical plant installation and commissioning
- Perform maintenance and repairs on transmission and distribution systems
- Lead electricians and Powerline Technicians
- Complete necessary documentation for assigned work
- Participate in emergency restoration and rotational standby duty
Requirements:
- Journeyman Industrial Electrician certification preferred
- Five years troubleshooting electrical equipment experience required
- Valid Nova Scotia Driver's license and two years driving experience
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem resolution skills
- Residence within 30 minutes of headquarters required
