Heavy Equipment Operator - Snow Removal

Job Description:
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment primarily at night in a safe and appropriate manner. Heavy equipment may include front-end loaders, excavators, skid steers, graders, and other pieces of equipment.
This is a snow removal position – hours will vary based on weather and shifts are usually night shift & on call. Will need suitable transportation to get to the resort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating heavy equipment in a safe, proficient and timely manner.
- Basic daily maintenance of operating equipment.
- Convey any maintenance concerns to the Equipment Supervisor.
Required Qualifications and Abilities
- Must be eligible to work in Canada - can provide work permit & SIN.
- Must currently live in or have already relocated to Revelstoke.
- A minimum of 3 years operator experience.
- Air Brakes preferred.
- Must have a valid BC Driver’s License (Driver’s abstract required.)
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must have the attention span to maintain constant focus on tasks.
- Must be able to work in potentially hazardous environment with exposure to variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts and electrical current.
- Must be prepared to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
