North Bay Regional Health Centre's Registered Nurse supports patients transitioning safely toward community living. The work involves forensic nursing, risk management, psychiatric assessment, recovery-oriented practice, and specialized programming. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals, patients, families, regional services, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide total patient care within a rehabilitation setting
- Conduct Mental Status Exams and patient assessments
- Facilitate groups and specialized programming
- Provide health teaching to individuals and groups
- Participate fully in required emergency codes
Requirements:
- Current Ontario nursing registration in good standing
- Current Basic Life Support and Gentle Persuasive Approach certificates
- Knowledge of forensic nursing, legislation, and risk management
- Experience supporting serious mental illness and dual diagnosis
- Valid G licence and Ministry driver's abstract
