You will lead electrical studies and designs covering shipboard systems, shore-power interfaces, and decarbonization technologies. The work includes power distribution, battery energy storage, load analyses, and technical submissions. Key Responsibilities:
Lead marine electrical engineering studies, designs, schedules, and technical quality Design shipboard generation, distribution, DC grids, lighting, and automation Review load analyses, diagrams, short-circuit studies, and cable routing Advance hybrid, diesel-electric, battery-electric, and shore-power analyses Support vessel surveys, inspections, commissioning, and project coordination Requirements:
Six-plus years of direct marine electrical engineering experience Hands-on hybrid, diesel-electric, or battery-electric propulsion experience Knowledge of Class Rules and Transport Canada Marine Safety requirements Working knowledge of IEEE, IEC, and CSA standards Proficiency with AutoCAD and SKM PowerTools or ETAP Apply marine electrical design, propulsion, and analysis expertise to fleet electrification projects with Noetiq Edge.
