This temporary Utility Worker position supports Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro operations in Churchill Falls. Duties include equipment servicing, minor repairs, landscaping, industrial painting, and assisting trade workers. The work also includes asbestos abatement, scaffolding, and environmental responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate chainsaws, brush cutters, mowers, and related equipment
- Service equipment and make minor repairs or adjustments
- Perform cleaning, landscaping, loading, and off-loading
- Complete industrial painting, garbage removal, and snow removal
- Assist trade workers, erect scaffolding, and perform asbestos abatement
Requirements:
- High School graduation or equivalency
- Capability to perform labour-type tasks
- Completed certified scaffolding and Fall Protection courses
- Completed confined space, elevated platform, and aerial bucket training
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence and required medical fitness
