NIWE Academy seeks an experienced Hairstyling Mentor for its Calgary team. In this role, you will support both diploma and apprenticeship students in developing essential skills and professionalism for their careers. Your expertise will guide students through practical and theory-based training vital for transitioning from classroom to employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver practical and theory hairstyling instruction
- Coach students on technical skills and professionalism
- Supervise student clinic services for positive guest experiences
- Provide constructive feedback to enhance student learning
- Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and records
Requirements:
- Alberta Journeyperson Hairstylist Certificate or Red Seal endorsement
- Minimum 3 years of professional hairstyling experience
- Previous teaching or mentoring experience
- Knowledge of training apprentices preferred
- Familiarity with LMS like D2L is an advantage
