Nishnawbe-Aski Legal Services Corporation seeks Youth Intervention Workers serving primarily youth ages 12 to 17. The work supports prevention, diversion, rehabilitation, and reintegration for youth at risk of or involved in the justice system. Community and justice partnerships are central.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide culturally grounded prevention and intervention services
- Support diversion, rehabilitation, and reintegration services
- Work with Indigenous youth and families
- Collaborate with community and justice partners
- Travel as required for service delivery
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in a related field preferred
- Knowledge of Indigenous cultures, histories, traditions, and realities
- Understanding of trauma-informed and strength-based approaches
- Strong communication, documentation, and computer skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
