You will handle commercial property and liability submissions while supporting portfolio profitability and broker relationships. The work requires technical underwriting knowledge, sound judgment, analysis, negotiation, and responsive communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite new business, renewals, and endorsements within delegated authority
- Analyze exposures and determine coverage, limits, and pricing
- Negotiate terms with brokers and provide responsive service
- Monitor portfolio performance and support underwriting profitability targets
- Mentor junior underwriters and refine underwriting guidelines
Requirements:
- Five to seven years commercial property and liability underwriting experience
- Strong knowledge of commercial underwriting practices
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills
