Job Number: NGCI 2026-05

Term: full-time

Closing Date: December 31, 2026

THE ORGANIZATION

Neyaskweyahk Group of Companies Inc. (NGCI) is a community-rooted organization that owns and operates businesses serving Ermineskin Cree Nation and the broader Maskwacis region. NGCI’s purpose goes beyond profit: its businesses create local employment, keep economic activity in the community, and build long-term prosperity for the Nation.

The Neyaskweyahk Gas Bar & Convenience Store is one of NGCI’s established operating businesses. Operating under a franchise agreement, the store offers fuel, convenience retail, and food service to local residents and travelers alike. Now under new management, the business is entering an exciting next stage of growth and transformation.

THE OPPORTUNITY

NGCI is seeking an energetic and entrepreneurial General Manager to lead the Neyaskweyahk Gas Bar & Convenience Store through its next stage of growth. Reporting directly to the VP Operations and working closely with NGCI’s executive leadership team, the General Manager will oversee day-to-day operations while playing a central role in shaping the future of the business.

This is a true builder’s role. Key growth initiatives on the horizon include:

  • New coffee drive-thru: supporting the planning, launch, and ramp-up of a new revenue stream.
  • Expanded food service: growing the menu and food-service offering to drive traffic and margin.
  • Enhanced retail merchandising: refreshing the store experience to lift basket size and sales.
  • Community engagement: strengthening the store’s presence and relationships across Maskwacis.

This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys building teams, driving sales, improving operations, and leaving a lasting impact on a business and its community.
