Our client is seeking a highly experienced Oracle Cloud ERP and Database Expert for a long-term 3-year remote assignment. This role requires deep expertise across Oracle technologies, cloud platforms, and database administration, with a strong technical background supporting enterprise environments. The position is primarily remote, with occasional travel to Montreal, Canada. French and English speaking skills are needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level support and guidance across Oracle databases, Oracle Cloud EPM, and Oracle Cloud Cost Management.
- Lead or contribute to the design, deployment, optimization, and maintenance of Oracle Cloud and on-premise database solutions.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, performance tuning, and system diagnostics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT and business teams across different time zones.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize scripts (Linux shell or other scripting languages) to automate operational tasks.
- Ensure system reliability, security, and compliance with enterprise standards.
- Participate in reviews, documentation, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Support the client’s technical roadmap and contribute to long-term architecture planning.
Required Skills & Experience
- 15+ years of experience working with Oracle technologies, including databases and cloud platforms.
- Strong expertise in Oracle Cloud EPM and Oracle Cloud Cost Management.
- Proven experience in Oracle database administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of Linux OS and scripting (e.g., Bash, Shell).
- Bilingual or strong proficiency in English (French can be added if needed).
- Ability to work remotely while maintaining alignment with Montreal business hours (time-shifted schedule).
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Montreal.
- Strong communication skills, autonomy, and ability to collaborate in a distributed environment.
