Coeur Mining is a growing, all-North American precious metals producer with seven operations: the Las Chispas silver-gold mine and Palmarejo gold-silver complex in Mexico, the Rochester silver-gold mine in Nevada, the Kensington gold mine in Alaska, the Wharf gold mine in South Dakota, the Rainy River gold mine in Ontario, Canada, and the New Afton copper-gold mine in British Columbia, Canada.
The Rainy River mine is an open pit and underground, gold and silver producing, residential mine site. About The Role
Position Reports To: Site Services Supervisor
Position Overview: The role of the Plumber, Pipefitter is to carry out the maintenance on and installation of Site Services Infrastructure. Ensure all activities are carried out in conformance with New Gold's policies and procedures including cultural, safety and environmental.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a variety of Site Services mobile equipment and hand tools.
- Work in confined spaces such as in vessels, tanks, and towers.
- Measure, cut, curve, gather and install piping, valves, and fittings.
- Fusing HDPE pipe.
- Be able to use testing equipment to check for leaks.
- Perform QA/QC checks for all work performed.
- Develop procedures as required.
- Perform general duties as assigned.
- Assist other trades within the Site Services Department.
The anticipated salary for this position will be between $118,000 to $124,000.
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Plumber Ticket required
- Class G Driver's License Required
- HDPE Pipe Fusing Certification an asset.
- Petroleum Mechanic or Helper Certification an asset.
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience
- Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
