About the role
We are looking for a functional consultant to own the functional side of NetSuite implementations end to end — from the first requirements workshop through configuration, testing, training and go-live. This is a client-facing role. You would sit in one of our delivery pods and also support the shared functional pool, which means your work spans more than one client and more than one industry. You would be the person the client talks to about how their business should run in the system, and the person our technical consultants come to when they need the requirement explained properly.
What you'll be doing:
- Discovery and design
- Run requirements workshops with client finance and operations teams
- Translate how a business actually works into a NetSuite design that holds up in production
- Document the solution clearly enough that someone else could build from it
- Push back when a client asks for a customization that standard functionality already covers
- Build and configure
- Configure NetSuite across financials, order to cash, procure to pay and inventory
- Define the chart of accounts, segments, roles, permissions, forms and approval routing
- Map and validate data migration, and own the reconciliation that proves it landed correctly
- Brief our technical consultants on what needs scripting, and review that it does what the requirement asked for
- Test, train and launch
- Build test scripts and run UAT with client users
- Train client teams and leave behind documentation they can actually use
- Support go-live and the first close, and resolve what comes up in hypercare
- Mentor the junior consultants in the pool — a large part of how this team gets better
What we're looking for:
- Five or more years as a NetSuite functional consultant, including full-cycle implementations you took from discovery to go-live
- Real depth in at least two areas — financials, order to cash, procure to pay, inventory or manufacturing
- Professional English, and the confidence to run a workshop with a client's finance lead in it
- Able to work from your own country with meaningful overlap with Eastern Time
- Organized enough to carry several clients at once without dropping anything
- Direct: you say when a timeline will not hold, before the date arrives
Nice to have:
- NetSuite certifications — ERP Consultant, Administrator, Financial User
- SuiteTalk — exposure to NetSuite's web services and integration layer. You would not be building integrations yourself, but understanding what is possible makes you better in a design conversation.
- SuiteAnalytics and SuiteFlow — saved searches, reporting and workflow configuration
- Experience in a NetSuite partner or consultancy, rather than only in-house
- Exposure to OneWorld, multi-currency or multi-subsidiary clients
