Physicians may choose to maintain a broad General Internal Medicine practice or develop focused areas of interest including:
- Cardiology and cardiovascular risk management

- Respiratory medicine
- Women's health
- Chronic disease management
- Other outpatient subspecialty interests

- Candidate Requirements
- Eligible for independent licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)
- Royal College certification in Internal Medicine (or eligibility for certification)
