The Position:
Neelands Group Limited is searching for a Cable Technician to join our team at the Burlington, Ontario location. This is a regular, full-time union position with a full union compensation package.
This posting is for a replacement position within the team. The successful candidate will be placed in the appropriate union classification based on their qualifications and experience and will be paid either $25.91 per hour or $32.76 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and install LVT communication cable
- Terminate and secure cables
- Read and understand blueprints
- Verification of system
- Installation of related components
- Understand and advise management of inventory levels
- Stock transfer to specific job
- Follow direction of Project Manager
- Be able to work unsupervised
- Interact with site supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the HVAC/Refrigeration controls, telephone, alarm fields is an asset.
- 2-4 years' experience in one of these fields or similar is an asset but not necessary
- Work in the construction industry
- G Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract
- Ability to travel
