This position supports alternative programming, therapy goals, sensory breaks, communication needs, toileting, and outings. Collaboration with teachers, behavioural specialists, and therapists is central to the work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with autism and behavioural exceptionalities
- Assist students with physical and developmental disabilities
- Deliver alternative program and therapy goals
- Provide sensory breaks, toileting, and communication support
- Participate in outings and school-based teamwork
Requirements:
- Two-year post-secondary social services certificate or diploma
- Experience supporting varied student exceptionalities
- Knowledge of ABA, Behaviour Management Systems, and CPS
- Understanding of augmentative communication and transition support
- Knowledge and respect for Indigenous teachings and culture
