This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something new and make a meaningful difference by supporting Relatives as they build confidence, develop independent living skills, and work toward long-term housing stability.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations, administration, and overall functioning of Endaaying, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-managed housing environment.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and ongoing support to Helpers, including staff scheduling, training, performance management, and fostering a positive, collaborative team environment.

  • Coordinate responses to operational concerns, critical incidents, building emergencies, and other situations requiring management direction, including occasional after-hours support.
  • Manage site resources, monitor expenditures, and support financial accountability in accordance with organizational budgets and policies.
  • Collaborate with other Ndinawe programs, community partners, and service providers to ensure young Relatives have access to appropriate supports and services.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and communication with organizational leadership, ensuring operational requirements and program expectations are met.
  • Support Ndinawe's culturally grounded approach to service delivery, fostering an environment that respects the dignity, privacy, independence, and well-being of relatives.

What We're Looking For

  • Post-secondary education in social services or a related field. A combination of relevant education, employment, volunteer, and lived experience may be considered.
  • Minimum two years of management or supervisory experience, including responsibility for staff, administration, program operations, or financial oversight.
  • Experience working with Indigenous youth or young adults, preferably in housing, social services, community programs, or a related environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to supervise, support, and develop a team.
  • Demonstrated organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to challenging situations.
  • Knowledge of youth development, housing stability, community resources, and the challenges facing young people transitioning toward independent living.
  • Understanding of Indigenous cultures, traditions, and ways of knowing, being, and living, with a commitment to culturally grounded service delivery.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, and respectful relationships with Relatives, Helpers, and community partners.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, email, and electronic documentation.
  • Subject to Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Registry Check, and Prior Contact Check.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence.

A detailed job description will be provided to candidates during the interview process. Responsibilities and timelines may be adjusted as operational plans are finalized.

As an Indigenous organization preference will be given to applicants who self-identify as being First Nations, MΓ©tis, or Inuit.

Applicants are encouraged to self-identify in their cover letter.

Ndinawe requires a satisfactory criminal record check (including vulnerable sector search), child abuse registry check, and prior contact check prior to the commencement of employment.

Ndinawe will accept existing criminal record checks and child abuse registry checks if dated within 3 months of your start date.
