Lead Charles River Laboratories Canada's SR&ED program remotely, combining tax management, claim execution, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination.
As Manager, Tax and SR&ED, you will own the Canadian SR&ED process from project identification through final claim settlement. The position supports income tax compliance, tax provisions, audits, incentive planning, and special projects. You will work with scientific, operational, finance, accounting, tax, external advisors, and tax authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own annual SR&ED claims through filing, audits, objections, and settlement
- Coordinate documentation across scientific, operational, and financial stakeholders
- Prepare project costing analyses and incentive claim support
- Prepare quarterly SR&ED calculations, tax entries, and schedules
- Coordinate tax authority audits, inquiries, and dispute resolution
Requirements:
- Remote work location with suitable video conferencing infrastructure
- Availability Monday to Friday during daytime hours
- Ability to work overtime during peak periods
- Ability to support U.S. GAAP ASC 740 reporting
- Ability to maintain audit-ready documentation and controls
