Lead complex civil disputes in Mississauga with strong advocacy and independent file management. This full-time position is on-site with Nanda & Associate Lawyers. Nanda & Associate Lawyers seeks a lawyer with at least 10 years of civil litigation experience. You will manage general civil and commercial disputes, assess claims, develop strategies, and advise on risks, costs, and outcomes. The practice also includes estate litigation and mortgage enforcement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage civil and commercial litigation, including contractual and business disputes
- Assess claims and develop practical case strategies
- Draft pleadings, affidavits, factums, and settlement agreements
- Represent clients at motions, mediations, examinations, and trials
- Negotiate settlements and maintain organized files and deadlines
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant civil litigation experience
- Law Society of Ontario licence in good standing
- Ability to independently manage files and represent clients
- Strong knowledge of Ontario’s Rules of Civil Procedure
- Excellent drafting, research, negotiation, and advocacy skills
