Perform janitorial services and minor maintenance at Metrolinx's Willowbrook facility, using specialized equipment and careful facility inspection practices.
As a contract Plant Serviceperson I, you will support buildings, grounds, and facilities for the Rail Facility Assets Office. Your work includes cleaning, waste removal, equipment operation, supply replenishment, and recording deficiencies. The Sunday-to-Thursday shift runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a contract of up to nine months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect facilities for cleanliness and record deficiencies
- Provide janitorial services using specialized materials and equipment
- Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, hoists, and related equipment
- Complete general maintenance supporting facility conditions
- Report unusual facility or equipment items to supervisors
Requirements:
- High school completion or equivalent reading and writing skills
- Nine months' building and janitorial servicing experience
- Valid Ontario Class G licence and good driving record
- Ability to obtain required equipment operator and First Aid certifications
- Ability to complete forklift, propane, environmental, and safety training
