Support Metrolinx facility operations in Etobicoke through equipment operation, cleaning, inspections, and general maintenance duties.
This contract Plant Serviceperson I assignment serves the Rail Facility Assets Office at Willowbrook, located at 125 Judson Street. You will maintain buildings, grounds, and facilities while operating forklifts, driveable scrubbers, sweepers, tractors, man-lifts, and related equipment. The scheduled days are Sunday through Thursday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean, disinfect, polish, wax, vacuum, dust, and wash surfaces
- Remove or separate garbage and waste
- Replenish supplies and degrease pits using approved equipment
- Maintain equipment and clean areas after operation
- Monitor facilities and take directed corrective action
Requirements:
- Minimum nine months' experience handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
- At least one year driving experience with Class G licence
- Ability to obtain a GO Transit Equipment Operator's permit
- Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid Certification
- Courteous public-facing communication skills
