Reporting to the Fisheries Manager, the Fisheries Coordinator provides financial and coordination support for departmental programs, projects, and operations. The position gathers information, tracks reporting requirements, supports training, and works with Fisheries staff, management, Finance, and other departments. Strong organization and communication support accurate information and timely submissions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and compile narrative reports for management and funders
- Track reporting deadlines, deliverables, outcomes, and project progress
- Monitor budgets, expenditures, funding allocations, and purchase documentation
- Coordinate field technician training, materials, registrations, and completion records
- Maintain organized departmental files, schedules, records, and documentation
Requirements:
- High school diploma, equivalent, or post-secondary education
- Two years of work experience considered an asset
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Cultural competency and sensitivity toward Musqueam traditions
- Successful Criminal Record Check and ability to work outdoors
