Build AI infrastructure with TypeScript and Azure at Motion, working remotely across Canada, the United States, or Europe on dependable systems. Motion seeks a senior software engineer bridging product code and infrastructure. You will write backend application code for agent environments, using Node.js, TypeScript, Azure, Docker, Pulumi, and Linux systems. The work supports data-intensive APIs, customer-specific state, and AI task execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provision, update, secure, and observe Motion’s agent environments
- Design abstractions for queues, locks, and background tasks
- Evolve infrastructure-as-code patterns using Pulumi
- Debug Linux systems, storage, permissions, logs, and containers
- Participate in weekly cross-functional engineering cycles
Requirements:
- Six or more years as a software engineer
- Meaningful infrastructure experience and strong production backend skills
- Hands-on cloud experience, preferably Azure
- Infrastructure-as-code experience with Pulumi, Terraform, or CDK
- Container experience, especially with Docker and runtime environments
- Apply strong software engineering judgment to Azure infrastructure, container runtimes, reliable backend systems, and Motion’s AI platform.
