Shape Motion’s cloud backend with Azure, Docker, and production engineering judgment while supporting AI-powered customer environments remotely. This senior software engineering role focuses on application code that controls infrastructure primitives. Motion’s stack includes Node.js, TypeScript, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Azure, and Pulumi. You will help make runtime behavior reliable for APIs, agent workloads, and customer-specific environments. Key Responsibilities:
Build systems managing Motion’s agent environment lifecycle Create reliable queue, lock, service bus, and task abstractions Define reusable Pulumi infrastructure patterns for engineers Handle container boundaries, mounted storage, OS disks, and permissions Support runtime debugging, logs, observability, and security Requirements:
Six or more years of software engineering experience Strong production backend experience and sound engineering judgment Deep cloud fundamentals across Azure, AWS, or GCP Infrastructure-as-code experience using Pulumi, Terraform, or CDK Docker and container runtime experience; orchestration knowledge helpful Bring backend expertise and cloud fundamentals to Motion’s dependable infrastructure, agent environments, and data-intensive API platform.
