Lead mechanical engineering design for Cameco projects in Saskatoon, using HVAC, process piping, and equipment sizing expertise. Support issued engineering documents.
This Mechanical Engineer contract runs from December 1, 2026, through December 31, 2027. You will act as Engineer of Record for drawings, specifications, data sheets, engineering lists, and construction packages. The work includes mechanical design, equipment selection, piping systems, and construction support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical engineering design across Cameco projects
- Act as Engineer of Record for issued documents
- Size and specify equipment, pumps, vessels, tanks, and piping
- Support designers developing 3D models and 2D drawings
- Prepare specifications, material take-offs, and construction packages
Requirements:
- Experience with industrial or commercial HVAC systems
- Experience with process piping, P&IDs, and piping isometrics
- Knowledge of applicable design, construction codes, and standards
- Experience with equipment layouts and building services
- Uranium, milling, or nuclear industry experience is an asset
