This 12-month Safety Specialist assignment supports Cameco construction activities as an intermediate or senior specialist. You will work with construction management teams and contractors, focusing on safety, health, environment, and quality requirements. Daily responsibilities include risk assessments, inspections, training, and incident processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor construction activities for hazardous conditions and safe procedures
- Conduct workplace, daily, and weekly job site inspections
- Review field-level risk assessments and daily contact cards
- Participate in hazard assessments, meetings, and constructability reviews
- Investigate incidents and monitor corrective actions
Requirements:
- Intermediate or senior Safety Specialist experience
- Ability to apply Cameco SHEQ requirements
- Ability to assess contractor personnel qualifications
- Ability to review safety and environmental procedures
- Availability for 11-hour daily shifts
