Analyze financial reporting and costing data onsite in Halifax as an Assistant Controller supporting Moog's finance team. Use Power BI and data analytics to guide accurate decisions.
Reporting to the Controller, this Assistant Controller supports financial reporting, costing, forecasting, and profitability analysis. The position requires US GAAP knowledge, variance analysis, reconciliations, and familiarity with data warehouse reporting. You will work with sales, engineering, technical resources, function leads, and audit teams while supporting business demands through informed recommendations and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial and costing data for reporting and pricing analysis
- Use Power BI and data warehouse reporting tools
- Ensure US GAAP reporting, variance analysis, and reconciliations
- Identify internal control risks and support process changes
- Engage with quarterly and annual audits
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
- At least five years of accounting, finance, or costing experience
- Experience as a financial and cost accountant in manufacturing
- CPA or CA designation considered an asset
- Familiarity with SAP ERP or OneStream considered an asset
