Lead customer quality for Modine data center accounts, applying structured problem-solving and thermal management expertise across North America. Travel is required.
As a Customer Quality Engineer, you will serve as Modine's primary quality interface for key data center customers. The work spans customer requirements, issue resolution, plant alignment, and continuous improvement across thermal management products. You will use 8D, A3, DMAIC, and quality tools including DFMEA, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, and control plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own quality relationships and customer-specific requirements for assigned accounts
- Lead 8D, A3, DMAIC, root-cause, and corrective-action activities
- Manage containment, escalations, field issues, and customer communications
- Monitor warranty, reliability, DPPM, and systemic issue trends
- Support NPI, PPAP/FAI, audits, testing, and validation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- Five-plus years' quality engineering experience in manufacturing or HVAC/refrigeration
- Structured problem-solving proficiency, including 8D, RCA, and CAPA
- Direct customer engagement experience in a quality role
- North American travel availability; Six Sigma or CQE certification preferred
