As an Accounting Technician, you will assist with compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping, and tax engagements. The role suits entry-level candidates through two years of relevant accounting experience. Your work will include reconciliations, government filings, payroll transactions, and close processes while supporting tailored financial information for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping, and tax engagements
- Prepare remittances, filings, receivables, expenses, payables, and payroll
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and system uploads
- Perform month-end and quarter-end close processes
- Investigate discrepancies and develop resolutions with managers
Requirements:
- Accounting certificate or commerce or business administration degree
- Entry-level to two years of relevant accounting experience
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and processes
- Experience with accounting and tax software considered an asset
- T4 and T5 preparation experience preferred
